Wealthy Web Writer Review: A Premium Course for Online Writers

Wealthy Web Writer review; a premium course for online writersLate last year I was contacted by the American Writers & Artists Inc. (AWAI) and I was offered a 3-month subscription to their Wealthy Web Writer membership site.

Other than Carol Tice’s Freelance Writers Den – which I’ll be reviewing in the near future – I’m not enrolled in any other writing course/site and I can count the number of eBooks I’ve read on writing for a living online.  I was very excited at the opportunity to check out Wealthy Web Writer and here’s my opinion of it below.

What is Wealthy Web Writer

Wealthy Web Writer is a membership site that provides writers of all levels with the information needed to make a living online as a writer. Whether you’re a new writer looking to build a successful online business as a freelancer, or you want to build an online copywriting business, Wealthy Web Writer is worth checking out.

As a “platinum member” of Wealthy Web Writer you’ll have access to:

  • 3-Minute Guru: these are quick videos with how-to instruction on tips, tools and ideas that can help make your life easier. For example, in the 3-minute guru video section there are quick videos that explain how you can use Google Alerts to make your research easier, how to backup your website and share big files with ease, how to determine when Google indexes your website and how to build an email list for free.
  • Roadmap Tutorials: these are more comprehensive tutorials that address major questions and concerns writers have; for example, there’s a comprehensive tutorial on how to set up your freelance writing website in WordPress. There’s also a part of the roadmap with a series of content where you follow one of Wealthy Web Writer’s experts on a journey to becoming a successful freelance writer from scratch; right from defining your niche to landing your first client. There are tutorials on a host of other subjects. These tutorials are often in video format but there is a detailed pdf version (with images etc.) of each roadmap available for those who prefer text.
  • Events and Seminars: Aside from the quick tutorials and the roadmap guides, there are also events and seminars. You’ll be notified in advance so you can access these events live and there’ll be a recording after each event. Events and seminars span a variety of categories; for example, some of the categories are blogging, B2B copywriting, marketing strategies, getting clients, working with clients, SEO and social media. At the time of writing this review, there are 9 different authors who help organize these events.
  • Jobs: If this is the only feature available, it’ll make access to the site worth it. There’s a section focused on making writers aware of various quality job offers available throughout the internet.

Accessing the Content

Access to Wealthy Web Writer costs $27 a month and when you’re paying monthly for a membership site it’s important that you’re able to access the content without feeling overwhelmed.

To be honest, at first you can find the whole site overwhelming. There’s a lot of information from various experts and by just looking at the homepage, as a newbie, you might not know where to start. However, after taking a more thorough look  at the site I noticed content throughout the site is broken down into categories. For example, you can navigate the site via the “resources” link or by clicking the “Training Center” link.

Here’s a screenshot of the resources section below:

If you take a look you’ll see how it is broken down into various sections; at the time of writing this, the “Resources” link will allow you to access 7 different levels of content. As you can see from the above screenshot, the 7 options are:

  • Free Content
  • Getting Started
  • Improve Your Skills
  • Tech Corner
  • Build Your Business
  • The Reality Blog
  • Web Copywriting Glossary

Free content allows you to access articles occasionally posted on the blog while the other categories allow you to access premium content on the site in an organized way.

The Screenshot below shows how it’ll look if you select the “Training Center” link:

training center

As you can see from the above screenshot, selecting the “Training Center” navigation option allows you to access:

  • 3-Minute Guru
  • Roadmap Tutorials
  • Events and Seminars

I’ve explained what these mean earlier in this review, and I think with these two navigation options the overwhelm you might experience when it comes to accessing the content on the site should be resolved.

A Look into the Jobs Section

Here’s a quick glance into what you’ll see when you click the “Jobs” link.

jobs board

As you’ll notice from the above screenshot, not only is the jobs section regularly updated with hand-picked quality writing jobs, but each job is also categorized in a way that helps you decide whether a certain job is in your area of expertise. There’s also a navigation option above the jobs page that allows you to filter each job by category. For example, you can filter the list to only show jobs that have to do with SEO, Ecommerce, PPC Marketing, Social Media or Web Sales Copy.

If you need any help or find any area of the site confusing, you can easily click the “Help/Contact Us” link from the navigation bar and you’ll get a quick response. My communications with the team at Wealthy Web Writer have always resulted in quick responses. They also provide a physical address and a phone number where you can contact them.

My Thoughts on Wealthy Web Writer

First, as a disclosure, I was given free review access to Wealthy Web Writer and this post contains my affiliate link. However, that won’t increase how much it costs if you decide check it out – and there are no long-term commitments.

Personally, my experience with Wealthy Web Writer has been great; other than the possibility of being overwhelmed (which I talked about how to overcome earlier), I don’t really see any problem with the site.

Also, as an expert freelance writer and marketer myself, I can tell you that the quality of the materials on the site is great.

With that said, I recommend that you check out Wealthy Web Writer; it costs $27 a month and there are no obligations to continue if you don’t like it.

Win 3 Month Free Access to Wealthy Web Writer

Thanks to the team at Wealthy Web Writer, I’ve worked out a deal in which one of my readers will be able to enjoy free access to the vast amount of quality materials available at the site.

If you’re struggling to get started as a freelance writer or if you need some serious change in your business this year, this is the opportunity to get started.

One person reading this review will be getting 3 months free, platinum access to the Wealthy Web Writer. To qualify, all you need to do is:

  • Submit a genuine comment, with as many details as necessary, explaining why you think you need access to Wealthy Web Writer and how you think it can change your writing career.

That’s the only thing required to qualify. I’ll be announcing the winner of this contest to my newsletter by the weekend, and I’ll be sending a personal email to the winner to set her/him up with the team at Wealthy Web Writer.

Just comment below and let me know what you think about,  Wealthy Web Writer Review: A Premium Course for Online Writers and how you think access to Wealthy Web Writer will benefit you.

I write lots of paid content for my personal blog, but I want to break into writing for others outside of my blog. I lost my job in December, and this might be the *one* course I need to move forward with my new endeavor.

Thanks for the review and the opportunity!

  2. Ahmed Safwan says:

What I do to earn my income online is to do some freelancing, write posts, guest posts maybe as a ghostwriter.

Being a great writer will help me change my rates by 100%. Not only that, but with great writing I may offer writing sales page and more other offers on my hire me page.

Also, I will have highly engaged audience on my blog that can make me earn from 700$/m to more than 10000$/m.

I’m still at the point of deciding whether I’m going to enroll in Carol Tice’s Freelance Writer’s Den or somewhere else. Good thing I read this review. At least I’ve got two great choices now. (I’ll wait for your review on the Den before I make up my mind.)

Why I think I need a writing course? Well, I’m not really confident about my writing skills. And this has a great impact on getting high-paying jobs. If not having second thoughts whether or not I can deliver quality articles (that are worth the high price), clients reject my application because of two possible things: either my writing sucks or I don’t have enough clips on my portfolio. It can be both, which is worse. Though this happens almost all the time, I’m not giving up freelance writing because this [career] is where I want to belong.

I’ve been reading tips from a lot of blogs now, and the amount of information is just too overwhelming for my brain to process. Plus, those blogs are just so intimidating…

First of all, thank you so much for a very thorough and honest review of the Wealthy Web Writer. Based on the information you have shared, this course could be the perfect companion for me to establish a writing career online. I will admit that I am a newbie to the freelance writing world, but I feel that I have always had burning desire to put my thoughts to paper and at the same time, bring value to those that may take time to read those words. This course provides tutorials and wealthy of information that would benefit the new writer. The two most important areas of the course I thought, were the Events and Seminar section, and the Job Posting section. The opportunity to network and learn from other writers, and the opportunity to gain experience by providing a service, are invaluable to a writer’s growth. Thank you again for this review, and the others that are forthcoming.

  5. Christina Walker says:

I’ve wanted to be part of AWAI’s Wealthy Web Writer for a long time, but I’m just not in a position financially to afford it (or any of their other great courses, for that matter!). Having worked professionally in internet marketing before becoming a freelancer, I know a lot about SEO, and I think I know plenty about blogging. What I’d love more training and experience in is copywriting online and social media and email copywriting. And access to the job board alone would be fantastic since the only marketing tools I have right now are my blog and LinkedIn.

Thanks for the review and the screenshots, Oni. Sometimes just reading the sales page for a course/membership site isn’t good enough. This review has answered my remaining questions.

  6. First, thank you so much for this potential (wonderful) opportunity.

First, I learned about freelance writing through an old man who was making some few bucks online. At the time, I was selling second hand clothes and he was trying to understand how a college student would waste so much talent.

The next day, I visited a cyber cafe and registered in one of the job sites (Elance). I was lucky I got a gig worth $50 for 100 articles.
One of the clients I worked for became my friend and she identified that I had potential in writing. She recommended I read Oni’s free book on freelance writing and that’s when I came to learn about Young Pre Pro. As Oni always says, I opened a blog (Young Preneur Strategist) hosted by blogger but up to know I haven’t landed a single client.

I have been thinking of enrolling for Writer’s Bureau cause to learn how to be a freelance writer but it’s quite expensive (around 320 Euros)and right now I can afford to raise such kind of money since I am still a college student.

I believe Wealthy Web Writer has everything I need to be a writer. First, I want to identify what niche suits me best, how I can open a WordPress blog(since I have saved some cash to open a blog) and how to land quality clients through my blog.
I also want to learn how to “up” my writing skills.

I will kindly appreciate if you grant me my heart desire-to become an established and professional freelance writer.

    • “Course” not “cause”.Sorry for the misspelling

Thank you Bamidele for this information. I had no idea the website existed.

I’m currently freelancing for a few local businesses, however, my goal is to quit my part time job and work from home doing what I love, writing. My heart is also with online writing, and having the tools to work with would bring me closer to being at home with my family while also earning an income. I feel a membership would move me along, and help me learn what I need in order to fulfill that goal.

I found your snapshots and information clear and easy to understand. Their website doesn’t seem complicated. It appears user friendly. I’m actually on my way to visit them now.

    Have a great day!

  8. Nyona Matende says:

The priceless tips given here are extremely helpful. Thanks a lot!
I think the bane of newbies is not the lack of skill to do a good blog/article but the lack of knowledge on where to start and how to start.
This course shortens the time wasted on exploratory missions on the web, and directs writers where they need to go exactly.

  9. Funbi Adeleke says:

I am a university student, very interested in blogging but have little ideas on how to achieve my goals. I see this subscription as an opportunity to learn and be a better blogger. It would be a dream come through for me if i can get access to these resources.

  10. Bruce Maria says:

Hi Bamidele: Your review is very great and to the point…Explaining how it will help!!!

I believe it really will benefit a “newbie” like me, and of course with Your coaching…Specially the short tutorial videos to teach how to do what it’s needed to do…

As usual what You advise it’s going to help all the way…Appreciate all Your help…God Bless!!!

    Warmest Regards,

  11. Leah says:

I’ve been freelancing for a year, but there’s still so much I have to learn. I’m still trying to get my freelance groove and I need all the help I can get. I can’t afford this subscription at the moment. Thank goodness for blogs and websites like yours. Been really helpful.

Thanks again for this great post.

  12. Glori Surban says:

Thanks for the thorough review and great info in this post Oni. I didn’t know about this site until now.

This is a great opportunity to learn. So I’m going to give it a shot! 🙂

First off, I think this will help me grow my career by helping me zone in on my specialty. I don’t consider myself new to freelancing but there’s still so much to know. From your review, I reckon the site is full of things I want to learn and things I didn’t know I had to learn.

Second, more than improving my own career, I want to learn so I can help improve others’. I get questions and calls for help from people about how to start their own freelancing careers, but somehow, I don’t feel myself worthy to teach them. (I’m like, “What do I know?”) I usually send them to your or Carol’s site. But I’ve always had the urge to help and I think Wealthy Web Writer can help me help others.

Third, the jobs section is quite attractive, I’m not gonna lie. 🙂

That’s basically it. Thanks for the opportunity, Oni! Good luck everyone!

  13. Really this is nice information. I am new in blogging. i want to learn writing. now may be i get some information from in this article 🙂 great review.

  14. Ola says:

What a wonderful review! when i read through it I got so carried away and feel like I should get enroll in the site programme with immediate effect. Onibalusi, you are such a wonderful writer!

If I could have the opportunity to enroll on this site it will be such a priviledge for me as a fresh online writer, because all what you said about the site happen to be all I need to get my gig on as a fresh online writer.

Once again I will like to commend you for job well review on the site.

  15. Deb Lamb says:

I’ve wanted to check out AWAIs courses for quite some time. However, they have always been a bit too pricey for me to take advantage of.

I think AWAIs Wealthy Web Writer program would benefit tons of people who are interested in furthering their writing career.

For me, it would mean I could take my writing business to the next level. I’ve been struggling with that for quite some time and I do believe wholeheartedly that this particular program could be just what I need.

I’ve survived being homeless and losing everything I owned, and then to keep moving forward to make a better life for my family, I started a business. I don’t want to let the past hinder me or to keep me from becoming a better person, which enables me to help others.

With that being said, I know I would make the true commitment to this program and would be so thankful and grateful for the opportunity.

Sometimes we just need a little bit of help to make us better people, better business owners and then to pay that forward in the community.

Thank you for this opportunity, and I truly hope I’m fortunate and blessed to be the one you choose.

  16. Julzwriter says:

Why I need access to Wealthy Webwriter:

    1) To make the transformation from a struggling webwriter to WEALTHY web writer this year. Is the information on the site good enough to help me make this transition? I am very curious!!!

    2) I would like to improve my skills and grow my writing business in the following ways:
learn how to work better with clients
learn how to market my business and close deals
learn the technological aspects of running a writing business
    learn more about copywriting
and I am definitely dying to lay my hands on the 3 minute guru videos and attend some events and seminars

3)I would like to use the skills gained from the website to help others. This includes:
Local businesses that I write copy for
Mentoring other content writers (mostly local) who want to know how to sharpen their writing skills

    4) I will soak up all the information available on that site and apply it to my business. I promise.

If the website is as good as you claim it to be, then I will most likely stay subscribed even after the 3 month trial period is over and recommend the site to other writers who want to get started with content writing.

  17. Julzwriter says:

Sorry, forgot to leave a comment on what I think about Wealthy Web Writer Review: A Premium Course for Online Writers
The blog gives an insiders view to the site so as least someone knows what to expect in case they decide to enroll for membership. I am looking forward to your reviews of other writing courses.

I think it would have helped if you had specifically pointed out how the site assisted you in your writing business. Also, the article would have carried more weight if it was an independent review rather than a ‘sponsored’ review cause chances are you felt obligated to sell the services positively.

  18. To be honest, I don’t see the need to pay $27 per month (how nominal it may be), when you can get all the free quality tutorials and guides on sites such as Copyblogger, Problogger, Blog Tyrant and so on.

Well, if they have something special to offer apart from “how to setup word-press blog”, I may consider it.

For the newbies, you might be better off surfing around the web rather than sticking to one membership site. Drive around and you will find free fruits hanging from the trees.

  19. I want this one so I could pass it forward to someone else! I feel as if it’s always better to give than to receive!

I want to pay it forward and this membership would be that perfect opportunity!

    Thanks for sharing this one!

    • Julzwriter says:

If you win it, please forward your free pass to me 🙂

  20. Ces says:

I’ve been reading your blog for a while, but this is the first time that I’m going to put in my two cents in the comments section.

As a freelancer from a third-world non-native English speaking country, I’ve had my fair share of clients who pay me peanuts for my hard work. Although geographical location shouldn’t be the basis of a freelancer’s worth, there will always be clients who would think otherwise.

I read about people getting paid $100 or more for an article that I could have easily written myself. And to be perfectly honest, I envy those writers who get paid 10, 20 percent more than what I get. Oh, what I would do to be in their shoes!

My writing skills are nowhere near flawless, and I think that’s one reason why I don’t paid the way I should. The Wealthy Web Writer just might be the one resource I need to take my freelance writing career to another level. I’m tired of writing 500-word articles for $5. I’m in desperate need to learn what it takes to market myself more profitably, and the membership will help me do just that.

I heard for such type course for the first time.

I am definitely going to subscribe it and hope one day I can also write the way u write Oni.

Thanks for the unique content writing course.
