My Income and Traffic Report – January 2011

On the first of January this year I kick-started a new feature on this blog which is displaying my income report on a constant basis. For some business and personal reasons I was unable to display my income report early this month but as someone always trying his best to be a man of his word I have determined that no matter what, I will continue to display my income and traffic report on this blog on a consistent basis.

I love reading a lot of content, especially content that challenges the norm, and one thing I have noticed is that even though a large percentage of readers see displaying income reports as a source of motivation and inspiration that anything is possible in blogging some people still see it as a form of bragging. I was recently reading a debate on the subject on Lisa Irby’s blog and it was really refreshing reading people’s opinion on displaying one’s income report on his blog. When I first came across this post (it only has a few comments then) I was confused at to what to do but after reading the post again when it has so many comments I noticed that readers are okay with displaying your income report as long as it is done with moderation while also adding value to their lives. I will also not fail to point out that it is totally impossible for me to please everybody and I have no plan to please all of you so I don’t expect every one of my readers to approve of what I do. All I know is that I do everything I do with my readers’ interest in mind and anytime I see that a particular thing I do is not going to benefit them I do my best to stop doing it.

Given the above point here are some reasons why I display my monthly income and traffic report:

1. To Build My Credibility: A lot of other people can lie to look good in front of their readers but I won’t try to lie to you, while I have a lot of great plans for my readers I have noticed that there is no way they can take my advice and put it to practice if they don’t trust me. So clearly, my number one reason for displaying my income report is to build my credibility.

2. To Inspire and Motivate: My December 2010 income and traffic report which was the first one ever has received over 1500 views till date when my posts on this blog only average 300 views. I’d also like you to know that my December 2010 report did not get any traffic from Stumbleupon or any other social bookmarking site, it only got 14 retweets and 10 Facebook likes and the total social media traffic to it is less than 100. Considering this, it is no secret why this post is still highly successful; a lot of the traffic to it is either direct, from links on other blogs and forums and from the Google search engine. People are spreading the word about this since it is really motivating them and if that is what it does then I have no intention of stopping it soon; I want my readers to succeed at all cost, even if that means me challenging them with the results I get.

3. To Teach: Even though I just started reporting my income and traffic report and it is in no form perfect I will like you to know that my main aim for displaying it is to teach and help people achieve more success online. I read income reports of other bloggers with all my heart and I’m ready to digest every single detail I see in it so the best way to open people’s mind and make them take action is by giving them tips on how to increase their earnings in your income report. Seeing what you’ve achieved will open their minds and challenge them towards achieving the same, and the end result will be success for both you and your readers; after all, it doesn’t matter how much money I make or how much results I achieve I am not successful if my readers don’t succeed.

Now that I’ve given you some reasons why I display my income report I’d like you to see it as that and nothing else. I believe that is how we both can get the best from these reports.

News in January

A lot of awesome things happened in January that made it the best month for me in terms of achievements, but believe me, it was also almost my worst month.

This blog received a Google Pagerank 4 in January (I expected more though;) ), even with little posts from me and almost all the posts published on this blog being guest posts I was able to get around 9,000 visitors to this blog. Even though the number is not that impressive or what I want we can’t deny the fact that it is still something for a lazy or busy blogger (I think I was the latter in January:) ).

My designer was also able to complete my awesome design (the one this blog is presently using) in January and I have since noticed an increase of over 50% in my subscriber count. If you want to do anything design, coding and platform development related I recommend the team at and I give them my 100% trust. As long as you know what you want you will be able to get the best from them.

You will notice a lot of things about me and this blog such as giving an irrelevant ebook on getting traffic when this blog is about business and entrepreneurship (yes, that is really affecting my email list subscriber growth), such as the “ugly” picture of mine all over the web, on the sidebar and on my about page (as an anonymous commenter or “web troll” commented in order to make me feel less of myself), such as a lot of things that are cluttered and unorganized on this blog. It is only a matter of time and everything will be fixed soon; In fact, I can assure you that a lot of major changes will be made in the next few weeks on this blog in order to make this blog the best and let people see me for whom I really am.

January 2011 Traffic Report

January isn’t really a great month as far as the traffic to this blog is concerned and considering the fact that I was so busy in January and I wrote only 2 posts personally – all the others are guest posts – I’m really grateful to get that much traffic. February traffic is already rising, though, so I believe my traffic for this month will be better than that of January.

Also, considering the fact that my traffic from stumbleupon dropped significantly in January I can tell you that, even though less, January’s traffic is far better than that of December 2010. Below are some screen shots for you to see for yourself.

The Main Traffic

The Top Sources

The Popular Posts

By taking a look at the above screenshots you can easily tell that I have a lot to do, especially in relation to my bounce rate and the average time spent on site. I don’t always believe the stats though because I get a lot of comments and emails from readers (which means there is conversion) but it really won’t hurt trying something new.

Lessons Learnt from January Traffic

I learnt a lot from the traffic I got to this blog in January and I have decided to summarize the most important ones of those lessons below.

1. Transparency Matters: The results I got from my last income and traffic report blew me off. Being the first of its kind, it now has over 120 comments, a lot of links and is presently the most popular post for this year. I’m sure displaying that report will have given me a lot of new readers and this goes further to prove the power of transparency when it comes to doing anything online.

2. Don’t Neglect Social Media: Is it social bookmarking, social networking or the newly rising social blogmarking? The worst mistake a blogger will make is neglecting social media traffic. My second most popular post has been viewed over 5,000 times till date and that is as a result of it going viral on Stumbleupon. Facebook is also one of my top traffic sources and if only I had started using Facebook for my business earlier I’m sure that number you’re seeing above would have doubled. It doesn’t really matter whether you’re getting traffic from social media or not, just make sure you make it easy for people to share your content there because, at the end, you have nothing to lose.

3. Don’t Ignore SEO

The third most popular post in the above traffic report is presently the most popular post on this blog and it keeps on getting a lot of traffic from the search engines. In fact, a lot of people spend more time reading that post than the other posts.

Make sure you don’t ignore SEO for your posts but rather research your titles very well, focus on creating unique resource posts and then make extra efforts to build quality backlinks to your posts.

4. Guest Blogging Still Works: Considering I write a lot about guest blogging and that I even have a whole report dedicated to it I don’t think there is much to say here. Some of my best traffic comes from guest blogging and it is what helped me build my name and online status in no time.

5. Blog Commenting Works, Magic: Whether you like to believe it or not, blog commenting works! The problem is just that a lot of people make a mistake of commenting on hundreds of blogs and then expecting their traffic to skyrocket. One of my top 10 traffic sources is Smart Passive Income Blog and I presently don’t have a guest post on it so it is obvious most of my traffic from there comes from my comments on it. In fact, there are days I get as much as 40 visitors from the site alone (more than I get from some of my guest posts) so you should never underestimate the power of blog commenting – it just has to be done wisely.

With the above points made clear I hope you can start implementing them and expect to see a significant increase in your blog traffic. And no, you shouldn’t expect to start getting this much traffic overnight because every success has a small beginning and WritersinCharge is almost a year now, so, take your time, give your best and expect the right results.

January 2011 Income Report

Perhaps this is the most exciting part of all. January is presently my best month ever in terms of income and as a 17 year old kid I doubt if this is too little for me to have a living. And also, I don’t spend my money drinking beers (I’ve never “tasted” one in my life) or living a wayward life. In fact, I don’t (and I doubt if I will ever) have a girlfriend so the bulk of my income either goes to taking care of my family and going to my business. I’m still a student who plan going to school but I don’t think that is still feasible this year; I want to make sure my going to school doesn’t affect my business in any way (and I don’t want to study from home) so I still have a lot of work to do and a lot of money to make in order to achieve my dreams.

Below are the income breakdown for the month of January:

1. Writing Services: $4683.5

2. Affiliate Marketing: $30

3. Referral Services: 321.75

4. Google Adsense: $10

Total Income:         $5045.25

Below is an income graph (I see many of us love that) to give you more idea.

The above graph should do if you love graphs 🙂

Into More Details

After posting my first income report last month I got a lot of emails and comments from readers wanting to know which service I offered that made me much money. It was then that it became clear that I didn’t do my best to explain my income sources in my last report so I will be making amend in this report. Below are some more info I can give about my income sources (if you have more questions pls ask, but also have it in mind that there is a limit to what I can share).

1. Writing Services: Unlike most bloggers, very few of my income comes from my blog and the bulk of my income comes from me helping people to write online (thanks to my guest posting efforts). I have now signed a contract with a company that helps me make a minimum of $3,000 online every month and as a result of our agreement I have presently stopped taking clients.

I know a lot of you might think I’m lucky and that a lot of things I preach on this blog are not practical. In case you’d like to know, I have been contacted by several other clients in January and also this month who want me to be offering the same services to them but I had to turn them down. My point is that my services income is not as a result of luck but hardwork (and God’s favor) because if it had been luck I wouldn’t be getting consistent flow of interested clients. What made things easy for me was my record of writing a lot of guest posts and being consistent with it – this made people respect me as far as writing is concerned and they now see me as someone they can rely on when it comes to this. I will also like to stress that there is nothing called overnight success and I had to work for a minimum of 8 months (in which I wrote over 270 guest posts) before I got to where I am and that anything that brings about success has a foundation; start now and don’t expect to make much money, with time, you will be happy you did.

2. Affiliate Marketing

Some of the products I reviewed last year such as the Vizio Thesis Skin are still bringing in some sales and as you’ve probably noticed, I haven’t reviewed any product this year. I have one great product that will help you skyrocket your list building so make sure you stay tuned for that one towards the end of this month.

3. Referral Services

I have some products I’m still testing and promoting but I’m waiting to make sure I trust perfectly before writing about on this blog. These programs are free to join so it is super easy to make a great income from them (in fact, I can bet posting about it on WritersinCharge will make me close to a thousand dollars in one week) but I only promote what I trust on this blog and these programs are on what I call my incubation list. You will hear about them when the time comes.

4. Google Adsense

I have some blogs I have abandoned for over a year now but they still keep on generating income via Google Adsense. I plan to start focusing on some blogs of this nature and niche marketing in general later this year. Rest assured, I will let you know how everything goes once I start.

Some Cool Updates

I will be coming out with a lot of new things on this blog soon and some of them are podcasting, video blogging and the long awaited release of my new free ebook on how I make money online. I have started working on my ebook and I plan to be releasing it soon, so make sure you stay tuned for that one. And yes, you will have to enter your name and email address to get that ebook – I also have to get something for my hardwork.

I Need Your Help

I need your honest and sincere help as far as this blog is concerned. I only have one major aim for this blog and that is to help my readers so I will go to any length to make sure this is achieved.

I want you to give me your honest opinion on this blog, its design, pages on it, its structure and anything you can think about. What do you want to be added or removed, what do you want to be improved? Every honest opinion will really be appreciated.

PS: There is also an awesome interview with me live on Jeedo’s blog at Entrepreneurs Venture so I highly recommend you read the interview and give your honest opinions about it: Onibalusi Bamidele Interview.

  2. Vivek Parmar says:

that’s a huge amount of income. you are too richer $5000+ great man, keep up the good work.
For me January was a good in-terms of money but not good in terms of traffic.
    Traffic report:
    Pageview: 6505
    Visitors: 4500
    Monthly Income:
Free WordPress Installation + Blogspot to WordPress MIgration + Affiliate Marketing + infolinks will fetch me $1800 (too bad).
Unfortunately banned by Google Adsense 🙁
Would love forward to make some good money this month

    • Onibalusi says:

      Hi Vivek,

That is awesome and everything has a starting point. As long as you keep working hard you will also see an increase in income too.

  3. Love what you’ve been able to achieve in just a few months.

Just wondering now that you are doing a lot of writing how are you planning to leverage your time? It seems writing takes a lot of time. Are you planning in creating any product anytime soon?

    • Onibalusi says:

      Hi Joyce,

Yeah. Writing takes a time but I’m also working on expanding my income and making sure I have a lot of solid income streams. I don’t plan creating a product for the next 1 to 1.5 years though 😉

  4. Great bro ! I am 15 , and your income report just inspired to focus more and more on blogging ! Well, my earnings are still half of yours.

    • Onibalusi says:

      Aha Navjot,

You’re really doing a great job at 15. I hope you catch up soon.

      Have a great day!

  5. Devesh says:

    Hey Onibalusi,

Great Income report mate. You’re making good income by writing articles.

I love the new design, guys over blazersix have done awesome work. The sidebar looks so eye cache.

Recently, i’ve started being more active on social media sites and they are bringing me some good traffic.

Guest Posting is one of the best way to get some traffic and connect with other bloggers.
I’m also planning to do more guest posting this year.

I love doing blog commenting and it is something that i’m using to build connection with some awesome bloggers.

Anyways, Thanks for sharing this awesome income report. Keep rocking.

    • Onibalusi says:

      Exactly Dev,

I really love the design and I’m sure it will be better soon as I plan adding and improving the features in the future.

Guest posting and blog commenting work great for me too.

      Have a great day!

  6. Lye Kuek Hin says:

    Hi Oni,

This was an inspiring post. To obtain a contract with a company at least guarantee you a consistent income. In overall, i like the design a lot.

You have a fantastic logo and i agree with Dev, the side bar looks solid.

Thanks for sharing the report. Keep up the good work.

    • Onibalusi says:

      Exactly Lye,

Consistent income is really important and that is what I love the most about this 🙂

  7. I forgot to mention that, I love your new blog design. Clean and crisp. I love the fact that you have a little blurb on the side bar that shows your pictures and it give us a brief information about you. The “17 year old entrepreneur” bit is a kick in the butt. You will be able to build your email list much faster if you have your subscription box above the “1000+ People can’t be wrong” because you list is going to make you the money.
Colour, template, menu item looks great.

Nice job, Money well spent. I’m planning on getting mind done soon.

    • Onibalusi says:

      Hi Joyce,

Yeah! I’m working on that as soon as I launch my new ebook but I believe that 1000+ people can’t be wrong presently converts than my traffic ebook (at least on this blog).

A lot of updates and improvements are coming soon.

Thanks so much and have a great day!

  8. Pumama says:

I admire you a lots mate. I am 17 years old too but I only make over $5 per month from GA only 🙂

    • Onibalusi says:

      Aha Pumama,

Success takes time and as long as you keep trying and never give up you will achieve what you set your heart at!

      • Pumama says:

Sure :). I will try my best!

        • Iroko@Bloggers Blog says:

I think Google adsense sucks and it is actually a waste of valuable time…you need a lot of traffic to make any meaning money from adsense and traffic generation is not an easy job…goodluck find other money making ways that are more rewarding but might involve you do more than just placing code for ads!

          • Pumama says:

Yes I agree with you :). I like Affiliate Marketing than GA

  9. tim king says:

Awesome idea man! Sounds like one of your first breakthroughs – a good sign of an innovator!

One thing had me confused though – what is the reason you want to go to school? I’m just finishing right now, and after looking back – it seems like what matters today is what you’ve DONE. The proof is in the pudding, ya know?

I feel like the future of education is going to be led by successful entrepreneurs, and if you’re looking to get into another industry (I’m guessing you’ve found your passion) that would be the only sensible reason to go. Well, aside from the parties & girls. But it sounds like you should be throwing your own parties! HA

Also, as a suggestion – maybe an about page? Or am I not seeing one?

    • Onibalusi says:

      Aha Tim,

Yep. I have a lot of skills I want to improve and while business is my passion I believe I need to learn something more complex. My first love is networking/hacking/programming so I want to study computer in school so that I can improve my knowledge on these.

Yep. I’m having an about page ( and I plan to improve that soon.

Have a great day and keep on rocking 🙂

  10. Tim@Internet Income Rant says:

    Hi Onibalusi,
I must say you’re truely impressive! If you’re making this much at your age, I’m sure you’ll be one of Nigeria’s youngest millionaires soon enough. I particularly blog about my income (that’s the theme of my blog). It’s just 3 days old so it’s too early to give a report now but I’m sure it’ll begin to pick very soon. You’re inspirational. I like your person and of course more so because we’re both Nigerians. Continue your work, work harder, be encouraged, you’ll get there…
BTW, I was telling my friend who’s also a blogger about your picture and he was like maybe he’s going to call your attention to it but thank God you’ve noticed it yourself. I’ll like to see a professional picture of you like that of Michael Dunlop. That guy has an eye and for me, I’ll also take professional pictures to display across my online paths…you’re loved man. Enjoy your day!

    • Onibalusi says:

That’s so cool to hear bro and I’m always happy to see other Nigerians in the game. I’m sure we can make it big.

Concerning that your friend, does he lives in Abuja?

Have a great day bro, thanks so much 🙂

      • Adesoji Adegbulu says:

Oni… I can see you have grown and I’m really happy. Keep up the great work. Concerning writing services, you are actually sharpening your strength.

        Adesoji Adegbulu

      • Tim@Internet Income Rant says:

That my friend lives in Ife. He’s a student of OAU. I’m sure he’ll contact you soon because he said he even wants to interview you…according to him, you’re in his priority list. Enjoy your day.

    • Onibalusi says:

      Hi Tim,

That is awesome and one area I’m trying to improve on is my professionalism. I’m planning to get a lot of gadgets this month so a lot of changes will be noticeable.

      • Tim@Internet Income Rant says:

It’ll be cool to see your professional pictures across the web. I’m sure it’s going to translate to higher credibility. Michael Dunlop for instance have this ‘atmosphere of a successful youngster’ on his blog because of his pictures…Hope to see yours soon. Have a nice weekend. Gotta post on my blog Now!

  11. kustiin says:

This is truly inspirational man…you almost doubled your income in just one month, from this i can understand the kind of hard work you have put in!

And i think you should write a post describing how you manage to write hundreds of guest posts and how do you get the ideas for blogposts?

Site design is definitely cool and eye catching ..worth the price($1000)..take care

    • Onibalusi says:

      Hi Kustin,

Great idea for a post! I will be working on that and I hope I can do my best to help the rest of the world 🙂

  12. That’s an amazing amount of informtation man, I guess the fact that your so into data and testing reveals why you’re makingthe money you are. Thanks for sharing – you are an inspiration.

    • Onibalusi says:

Aha, I’m actually not that much into testing but I’m glad the report could help you.

      Have a great day 🙂

  13. Ryan Biddulph says:

    Hi Oni,

Congrats on your continued success! Having followed your career from the beginning I know that your achievements have nothing to do with luck. Just plenty of hard work on a consistent basis and God’s Good Blessings.

I finally hopped on the guest post bandwagon with ya. I’m writing 1-3 per day, along with my daily posts on RBs Keys. Right now I’m aiming at top blogs first but am submitting to any blog that will take them. The more you create, the less you compete.

As for my commentating I know the power first hand. I always try to be mindful of the value I leave with my comments. Try to be a co-author; write really good, comprehensive stuff in the comments field and people will take notice.

As for suggestions I feel you are doing a wonderful job with youngprepro. So much interesting and most importantly usable content. You might try to make your posts more short and punchy. After re-reading maybe you can cut out a few words here and there. This should help a great deal with your bounce rate as I know plenty of people scan posts and if it’s too long they hit the road. That being said I feel you offer immense value in these posts; making them a little shorter might keep a few more people around.

As you said though you can’t please everybody. That’s one of the fundamental lessons all successful bloggers learn.

All the best Oni. I’m happy to see your hard work paying off. Thanks for sharing your insight and enjoy your weekend!

    • Onibalusi says:

      Hi Ryan,

This is an awesome, value-packed comment and the type that brings report.

I’m really glad you followed me from the beginning and I so much appreciate that. Success really takes time and you will achieve a lot if you don’t quit.

Concerning the post length I will start working on making them shorter 🙂

Thanks so much for the awesome comment and have a great day!

  14. RobM says:

Great re-design, i really like it! It’s very professional and clean. I am enjoying reading about your guest posts. They seem a alternative or addition to article marketing. i also signed up for your newsletter and ebooks. Great stuff! RobM UK.

    • Onibalusi says:

That is really great to hear Rob,

I’m really glad I could help and I hope not to disappoint.

  15. Carla says:

Wow! You make some money online! But i don’t see any google adsense ads here, from where are that 10 $?

    • Onibalusi says:

      Hi Carla,

Yes. The adsense income is from some of my old blogs I have abandoned.

      • Carla says:

        Ah, ok! That’s explains!

  16. Jane | Find All Answers says:

    Hi One,

That is an awesome and inspiring income report. I am experiencing breakthroughs via guest posting. And, as you say the first few months should be hard work and then one can see a consistent flow of great results.

Glad that you just don’t report but also analyze and help others make money too. Highly appreciated.

    • Onibalusi says:

      Aha Jane,

Yeah. I’ve also been seeing your guest posts on some big blogs lately. You’re doing a great job, keep it up.

I have been working on my ebook for sometimes now so I plan to start guet blogging in full force once it is completed 🙂

  17. LoveChic says:

Wow! I would like to have the same results! I mean when you are 17 that’s cool! Are you going to study and get some other education? Will you combine your present activity with something traditional?

    • Onibalusi says:

      Aha LoveChic,

Yeah. I plan going to college to improve my knowledge and learn some more. The more knowledge I have the better it is for me: both income wise and generally.

  18. TsarShu says:

Your post looks like a tax report! The results are impressive. By the way, do you pay taxes? 🙂

    • Onibalusi says:

I think the law varies according to country and I don’t think there is a law in Nigeria that requires bloggers to pay tax – so no.

  19. Gibson Goff says:

With this post you have definitely broken thru any ‘transparency’ barrier. Scoff they may, but you put your money where your mouth is. Totally believable, because you speak the truth. You can’t argue with that.

The other great thing I’m noticing is your writing is even more polished. You are really moving forward in leaps and bounds! Good for you!

Thanks so much for sharing your insight and your results. I put 2 things aside telling myself “I need to read thsi first”! I’m glad I did.

Wishing you all the best, Oni. Blessings!

    • Onibalusi says:

It’s really awesome hearing that from you, Gib, and you never know how much that means to me.

I hope to even do more and help others achieve the success the so greatly desire.

Thanks so much and have an awesome weekend!

  20. WOW!a huge amount money.Best of luck and keep up with your good work.

  23. Ashok says:

Very inspirational report buddy, whoever reads this post may get jealous of u r income:-)

    • Onibalusi says:

      Aha Ashok,

getting jealous of my income is okay as long as it forces you to take action to get more results.

  24. elsa @ six pack exercises says:

    Hi Onibalusi,

I guess your effort of writing about your income and traffic report is effective. This is actually my first time of reading your blog and this income report is the one that made me interested as I was browsing around.

And when I know that you’re 17, that’s even better. I’m so inspired.

    Keep writing good content, bro!

    • Onibalusi says:

      Aha Elsa,

Age has little or nothing to do with success in life, what really matters is the mindset.

      I’m glad I could inspire you 🙂

  25. Craig says:

You are doing very well; but i’d love to know how long it took you to get to this income level?

    • Onibalusi says:

It took me 11 months. Success doesn’t come easily 😉

  26. Tantan @ Making Money Online for Beginners says:

    Nice progress Oni! 🙂
So the biggest income is generated from Writing Services.
So I think your traffic doesn’t effect significantly to your income.

    • Onibalusi Bamidele says:

      Hi Tantan,

Yes. My income doesn’t depend on my traffic – but either way, my traffic for this month is better than that of January 🙂

Thanks so much for the awesome comment!

  27. Peter Hutyr says:

Man you are going strong, keep up and keep going. I am learning a lot from you. Posting your income report keeps me focussed because I know am on the right path. You are also in school… wow, I bet you are earning more than the school’s director. And thats very bloody nice coz you no longer have to worry about living your lifestyle anymore.

    Peter Hutyr

    • Onibalusi says:

      Aha Peter,

I’m glad this income report could be of help and I will even work harder to make the next income reports more valuable.

Thanks so much for the awesome comment and have a great day!

  28. I am new to this blog. What writing services you are doing?

  29. Stuart says:

Wow! Onibalusi, you’ve done exceptionally to reach where you are now, and I think the $3000 a month contract proves this. Congratulations my friend, you’re doing a great job with yourself 🙂

    • Onibalusi Bamidele says:

      Exactly Stuart,

The $3000 contract is a major achievement – I’m at least sure of a consistent and solid income.

Thanks so much for the awesome support and have a great day!

  30. Samuel says:

How are your exams going? I wish you all the best in your endeavors 🙂

Thanks so much and keep on rocking!

  31. Entrepinoy Bank says:

Congratulations for earning much from writing articles for others but not from your blog. Though, I’m wondering when do you start monetizing this site to leverage more income.

    • Onibalusi says:

Yes. I will start monetizing this blog soon and it has made me $180 in February alone. I hope I can make over $500 from it this month…every little income adds up. As per launching a product, I doubt if I will launch any this year…or, maybe free.

  32. Alex says:

    Congrats Oni,

We all know you worked hard to get here and you are still doing it just to maintain.

I can’t really give you suggestions but one cool thing you could do is give people more tips about guest posting and how they can get their articles accepted by big bloggers.
How should they choose the guest posts topic, where should they research that topic.

I know you are busy now that you have a contract and have to work for your money but I think you should provide your readers with more tips about what they expect you do write, and I think that in this case most of the people coming here want to learn more about guest posting and how you can make it by utilizing this powerful method.
I know you might want to creat an ebook to answer some of the questions but it would be cool to have more posts about it.

Congratulations again, Oni. I think you kind of shattered the myth that you need years to make a decent income from blogging.

    • Onibalusi says:

Your comment is spot on Alex and I noticed my posts on guest blogging are one of the most successful and helpful ones on this blog so I will start writing more about the subject.

Concerning the contract, believe me when I say I’m not busy. I’m super fast and I can write lots of articles in an hour (aside editing and proofreading) but my problem is that I’m not principled…I procrastinate a lot and I plan improving on that. Once that is done my income should skyrocket 🙂

  33. Robert Dempsey says:

People love income reports for all the reasons you mentioned, namely inspiration and credibility. I think the fact that the majority of your money is made indirectly from the blog (more so your blogging and guest blogging efforts) is a testament to the fact that there are many ways to make money online.

Glad to see my guest post made the top 10 on the traffic report too 🙂

    • Onibalusi says:

      Aha Robert,

Yeah. Your post is awesome and people really enjoyed it – I hope you got some cool traffic to your blog from it too?

I have been getting a lot of emails from people since displaying my income report and anytime I login to facebook or Google talk people will start hitting e up. The majority of them are commenting about my income report being inspiring and motivating…and many are even ready to take action and focus on improving their blogging efforts – what matters most is helping people and I’m more than okay as long as the report helps people 🙂

Have a great day and keep on rocking the blogosphere!

  34. Bit Doze says:

You have earn some good amount of money last month, and I can see that you have progressed a lot. I can say that I am quite amazed that you do not have more visitors until now. I don’t understand why because you have promoted yourself a lot and also your writhing stile is awesome

    • Onibalusi says:

      Hi Bit,

Yeah. Concerning the visitors I noticed a great drop in my search engine traffic recently. I have also stopped promoting my blog actively and I think the quality of the traffic is what matters. Hope you’re having a great day?

  46. Hey Onibalusi – speaking of social media, I came across your link via a Twitter post! Congrats on your success; I am just starting out and really look to these income reports for inspiration.

Regarding your writing services, I am interested in this because my wife wants to leave her full-time job and focus on freelancing instead. What type of writing do you do? And how many articles/posts do you do per month to make the income you are making?

    Thanks again

    • Onibalusi says:

      Aha Lonnie,

I’m glad you loved the post.

Concerning the writing services I’ve given as much idea as I’m comfortable sharing above. About the numbers, less than 80 😉

      • Fair enough 🙂 I see that you aren’t writing for only a few dollars a piece. Good job. That’s what we want to achieve too!

  47. R Kumar says:

I have been following your posts for some time now. I had read a couple of your guest posts at maxblogpress and problogger too. Thanks for all the advices and suggestions. We at the blogger community get a lot of help when we bond with each other, especially if we are not amongst that top elite bloggers.
The points you have mentioned here is very interesting. Some of obvious things, but we tend to overlook it. So far the importance of showing an income report is concerned, it is true that it can motivate people and at the same time you can gain credibility as well.

    • Onibalusi says:

Aha, I’m glad you got my point. I don’t want to misunderstood and once the majority support my displaying of my income I’m more than okay with it.

  48. R Kumar says:

BTW, just wanted to mention, beautiful theme you have got. Absolutely clutter free and makes reader a pleasure.

  49. Matt says:
