7 days challenge – how it went

I am very happy to tell you I am done with my 7 days challenge. It was really a challenge. what i learnedI was able to write 16 posts during the challenge, I was not able to access a computer on Sunday which is one of the reasons why I didn’t complete the 21 posts challenge, I was a little bit sick on Friday which continued till today (even when writing this post). I am presently having a slight headache, and I think I need to rest.

What I learned

This 7 days challenge has been a really great one! I learnt so many things and I had a serious increase in traffic of about 40 additional visitors (according to google analytics) even though I am yet to submit up to a quarter of the posts I wrote.

Proofreading

I was able to discover lots of grammatical errors and incomplete sentences in my blog posts as a result of my typing speed. I type very fast.

My nature is a very fast one, I eat very fast, I talk very fast, I walk faster than any other person I know and I experience fast progress.

I also took this characteristics of mine into the computer world.

I discovered the majority of my posts have errors in them, not that i don’t know what to write or that I don’t understand english but due to my speed. I was alerted of this error by somebody I wrote a guest post for, he told me about the error in my guest post which made it unreadable. I decided to re-read the guest post just to find various errors I can never believe I wrote, I corrected it and behold a beautiful guest post.

I am very sure I might not discover this error early if not for me starting a challenge.

I am also happy with my Increase in traffic.

I should be starting another 7 days challenge next week! Let’s see how that goes?

I had a similar issue with the speed typing in the beginning. I made plenty of typos which weren’t discovered until I re-read some of my posts. With practice you’ll continue to improve in this area.

You have an awesome fire inside of you Onibalusi, especially for someone at such a young age. You have many of the qualities of a successful person down and are improving daily. One thing which I’d suggest is to keep honing your mental tools. Considering techniques like meditation, visualization, and performing affirmations if you don’t practice them already. As your mental tools improve you’ll be virtually unstoppable.

I started self-improvement in my early 30’s and have made a quantum leap since. When your mind is even more powerful you’ll do more amazing things.

Keep up the great work buddy and continue to challenge yourself!

      Hi Ryan,
Thanks a lot for your nice words.
You are absolutely right, with constant practice, I will improve.
Concerning techniques like mediation… e.t.c. pls do you have any recommendations i.e. resources? I want to know more about it.
I do read some personal development blogs and I will be very happy if you can give me any resources that can be helpful. I believe is naturally different from that of most people, and controlling my mental self will be very important. Many people believe things just happen but I believe you make things happen, you are the reason for your success or failure, it is no witch or any other thing.
Thanks a lo t for your nice words, you are really an encouragement and I really appreciate you.
      Thanks a lot,
      Onibalusi

Your increase in traffic is very interesting, I’ll have to go read your “7 Days Challenge” entry after posting this comment.

As far as your “speed typing” issue is concerned, actually, I think it’s a good thing. Many writers practice speed typing to get all of their thoughts down at once, without regard for spelling, punctuation, or grammar and just focus on getting their thoughts out as fast as they can. In fact, I’ve even read a tip to turn off your monitor and just type.

However, it’s important that if you take part in speed typing, that you GO BACK when you’re finished, read through it nice and slow and correct all the spelling, punctuation, grammar, and also fix the formatting.
