5 Actionable Articles to Help Your Writing Today

actionable articlesHappy new month!

I’m always happy whenever it is December, because December is always a special month for me. Almost every great thing that has ever happened to me happened in December (and I would like to believe that isn’t a coincident considering the fact I was born on the 22nd of December).

Seriously, since I believe this month will be a special month for me, I want it to be for you too, and as a result I want to do more than just share my knowledge with you. In this article I will be sharing links to five different articles from other great and experienced writers online, and I hope these tips help you achieve something significant this month.

1. Most Freelance Writers SUCK – 52 Ways to Make Sure That You Don’t!

Are you a freelance writer that suck?

What are you doing to help your freelance writing business? Are you doing anything at all?

This article lists 52 short, but actionable, tips you can follow to help you achieve more success as a freelance writer.

2. Marketing 101 for Freelance Writers: #1-The Essential First Step

If you’ve been reading this blog for anything more than a few months now then you know how much emphasis I place on marketing.

What is that key ingredient that differentiates between marketing that fail and marketing that succeed? If you think it is hard work or networking you’re wrong! Read this article to find out what it is!

3. 4 Website Traffic Generation Myths You Should Ignore

If you’re a freelance writer you probably know that one of the best ways to build a successful freelance writing business is to build a high traffic blog.

I know you’ve probably read countless articles online on traffic generation but you just can’t seem to pull it off. Well, you’re being lied to! Maybe not intentionally, though.

In this article on BloggingTips, I list some of the 4 most circulated traffic generation myths you should beware of.

4. How to Use and Measure Social Media: A Writer’s Guide

If you try to take a look at my Twitter and Facebook accounts you will notice I don’t have many followers/fans, and if you take a look at the social buttons on this blog you will notice that they are hardly used. The reason is simple, I know little to nothing about social media, and I could care less.

Mind you, I’m not trying to say social media doesn’t work. It works, and it can help you do wonders if you can leverage it.

Sean Platt is an expert at getting results from social media sites, and he gives some tips to help you get results in this article.

5. Are You Giving Instant Results? You Should, and Here’s Why.

If you’re reading this article I assume you have a blog. If not, you should!

Many of you know that I’m an avid fan of Pat Flynn, which is why I read every single article he publishes religiously (even if I will read nothing again that week).

This article is also one of the value-packed articles he publishes on his blog constantly, and he gives some tips to help you get your readers to trust you and become fans for live.

Most Important

If you read this article to this extent I’d like to believe this article and this blog has been of great value to you.

Concerning the birthday, I’m not much of a birthday guy, and probably won’t celebrate this (I’m kind of someone who doesn’t like celebrating birthdays, holidays etc.). Thanks so much for asking, though 🙂

  8. Raj says:

Social media works, but it needs a lot of time and energy to be dedicated to it. Just by creating a FB/G+ page, nothing much happens! It depends on where someone has decided to put their bets on. If they bet on social media, they better work on it to achieve their results!

    • Onibalusi says:

I think you have a point!
